CO2 neutral
Through certified climate projects, we have offset 42 tons of CO2 for the 2023 financial year, achieving CO2 neutrality with this CO2 NEUTRAL certificate in accordance with PAS2060, the international standard for CO2 neutrality that guarantees credible climate action.
Since 2017, we have been working with CO2logic (a SOUTH POLE company) as a consultant in CO2 neutrality. During this period, we have compensated more than 357 tons of CO2 through various climate projects.
One project we support is “Saving Trees in Uganda”. Since the start of this project, more than 480,000 efficient cooking ovens have reached households in Uganda. The goal of this climate project is threefold: saving trees, reducing forest degradation and ensuring better living conditions for the local population by reducing harmful air pollutants in their households (Saving Trees, 2019; CO2logic, 2019)

The Rwenzori Mountains National Park covers nearly 100,000 hectares in western Uganda and includes most of the Rwenzori mountain range.
Since October 31, 2018, our offices have been located in Absolut Plaza, a project by ABS Bouwteam that is fully prepared for the future.
The climatization is generated centrally and collectively.
The need for heating and cooling is kept to a minimum through optimal insulation and sun protection. In addition, geothermal energy extracts all the energy for heat and cooling from the Earth by using the ground as a type of heat/cooling battery (up to a depth of more than 120 meters).
Water pumps, 30 drillings and hydraulics are used. The heat that is removed from the building in the summer (i.e. cooling the building) is stored in the ground. During the heating season, that heat is extracted to heat up the building. The energy required to convert geothermal energy into usable heat and cooling (i.e. the heat pump) is generated locally and sustainably via sunlight, i.e. via solar panels. In addition, rainwater is collected for, among other things, the toilets in the building.
